its hanging on by a thread and is lying horizonitally pointing back towards her throat as its so loose. it was bothering her at bed time but she didnt want me to 'help' it out.

i'm worried she could choke. i'm thinking dry flannel over tooth, and a litlle tug. it would feel like an assult Sad but i'm really concerned.

Actually, come to think of it, with blood sometimes...... they NEVER bled when I just let them fall out on their own. Maybe my parents were pulling my teeth out in my sleep! Shock

noonar · 06/01/2011 22:59

oh god, toffee. when dh knocked it earlier, it really bled.

My son had a loose tooth wedged in at an odd angle for a day once. It was horrible. He kept fiddling with it until eventually it fell out.

I can deal with all sorts of children's issues, but not teeth. DS has to handle that on his own. Makes me go all peculiar.

thanks all. am off to bed.....

Noonar - if it bled it definitely isn't ready to come out yet. Leave it alone.

If you think about it, it is a natural process for teeth to fall out and it would be a bit odd if this natural process led to children all choking in their sleep. A milk tooth is tiny, after all.

Please don't worry.

ToffeeChristmascake · 06/01/2011 23:06

Bertie - maybe your parents were!

Do you ever have 'Marathon Man'-type nightmares, by any chance? Wink
