dd is 8 and we were out sporadically in the cold yesterday, at a shopping centre, and she only had leggings and a fleece on.

When she went to bed last night was moaning her bum cheeks were sore!!

Just looked this evening and the poor thing has bright red rash, looks very sore. Am loathe to put anything on it. Could it be from the icy air?

Could be chillblains. I got them on my arse when I sat on ice [stupid] then got warm.

Moisturise thoroughly. It could be a reaction to cold outside and then warm inside.

Keep an eye on the rash - my daughter was nearly hospitalised with Reynauds last winter.

Be vilgilant that she has no other rashes, infected or otherwise and check for chilblains all over the body not just hands and feet. My dd had chilblains in her ears and was in absolute agony.

I don't mean to scare you but after what we went through last winter I wouldn't want anyone to go through it.

I am not a panicky, over-protective Mum by any means but full-blown Reynauds is no joke at all.

ooh that sound awful Sad.

Am sure its some sort of wind/ice rash, will go get some very mild moisturiser today. trust my dd to get chaffing on her arse.
