Hi there, just realised that DS (13 months old) hasn't weed since we came home from a walk at 4 pm, is that normal? Possibly even earlier as I changed him at 2, then at 4 so it could have been any time between 2 and 4 that he last weed. He had a VERY wet nappy at 4 pm tho, but NOTHING since?? I know for sure because we use cloth nappies so it's easy to see (and smell Grin) if he's done anything at all. He has been taking fluids, tho not much - he had some soup and a slice of melon, some water as well but it's always a pain to make him drink, he'd just take a sip and that's it. And that's what he was doing today as well, just sipping.

He's been very cranky the last 3 days but he's also got a tooth coming through so we've been attributing his bad temper to teething. No fever that I can tell. Ideas?

If he is thirsty he will probably wake and want to drink. I think the main two reasons for no wee are (1) not drinking enough or (2) fever. You are sure he does not have fever? When he wakes you could give him some water. However, there are so many viruses going round it is also possible he is incubating something ...

just sounds like he's not consuming much fluid so low urine output... might have a sore throat which is putting him off drinking. try different ways to get fluid into him, ice lollies, using a straw wtc
