Cyclical vomiting syndrome maybe? 3 yr old with episodic nausea & vomiting (every 2-3 days)...what could it be?

We've been referred to a paediatrician by our GP but a 4 week waitlist. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

For the last couple of months, my 3 year old DS has had regular episodes of nausea & vomiting. In between, he's fine. Started out every week or so, now it's every 2-3 days. He'll be fine, then suddenly complain he doesn't feel well, begin moaning, and then throw up 2 or 3 times. Afterwards, he's pale & exhausted and sleeps heavily, poor lamb. Then he's fine again - until the next time. No fever. GP screened him for obvious things (infection etc.) and found nothing.

Google shows something called 'cyclical vomiting syndrome' which seems to fit pretty well. Don't like the idea of him ending up a migraine sufferer though.

Anyone with similar experience out there?
