op may be a bit dramatic, but he's having a GA and some teeth out and some filled.

what should I expect,
what should I ask the surgeon and anaethtist?

my son had it done in sept,i was more nervous than him.
hes 6 btw, brief descrip of what happened:
as soon as we got there filled in paperwork .
went in to see childrens dental nurse, went tthrough paperwork with her,she placed gel on sons hand, to numb it ready for ga.explained what would be happening, any questions??
sat down for 5 mins
called in to see denist/surgeon and aneth, went through paperwork again, any questions???
sat down 2 mins
called through to operating room, prob about 6 people in there,ds sat in the chair
our job was to distract him whilst needle was put in his hand,
he fell asleep ,we were taken to room next door.
5 mins later we were called into another room, with ds sitting in a wheelchair, dazed
no tears,it was quick and simple.
as soon as he could walk around they let us go(which was about 10 mins}
i was expecting to be there for hours and we were nt even an hour
no probs after ,but kept off school for rest of week.he did sleep with us that night,as they told us not to let him out of our sight 24hrs after ga.good luck

thanks for the reply, I hope it is that quick tomorrow, I have images of us waiting for hours in a waiting room until its over with
Ds is 2 when his teeth came through they had no enamel on them and have graduallt rotted away dispite a lot of brushing inbetween meal and only drinking water!

If you don't mind me asking where did your ds have it we have to go to the nearest children's hospital in Leeds (still quite a way away though)
