Ds is nearly 11mo, had reflux as a baby. He feeds fine now, no problems, and isn't a big puker Hmm

However, whenever he has a milk feed, I can literally hear the contents sloshing around in his tummy. Is this normal? It's never occurred to me to worry about it, but he's had a bout of food poisoning, and I am just worrying abour everything.

Could it be a digestive problem?

It happened to both mine quite a lot. It's just trapped wind - a good burp should sort it.

MiasmARGGG · 04/11/2010 10:44

Completly normal :)

Can't you ever hear cloud sloshing around inside your own tummy ?

Pinkjenny · 04/11/2010 10:46

MiasmARGGG - I know, I've never worried about it before, but once my mind starts worrying, it starts looking at everything! Grin

Excuse you!

So it's nothing to worry about then? I don't need to go to A&E? C'mon Mumsnet, we can't have a Children's Health thread without someone suggesting I go to A&E!

My DH's favorite thing when DD was a baby, was to hold her over his head and shake her. He loved hearing the milk slosh. He gave up this rididulous thing when she puked into his open mouth.
OP, go to A+E immediately, call an ambulance if necessary [sink]

Grin kreecher - My dh used to do it too, to see if he had burped sufficiently to be taken to bed.

I have stopped the Gaviscon now for his relfux, I wonder if that's making it more noticeable.

Its not the milk its a burp waiting to come up. ds still has it at almost 4 and dd gets it too at 6 weeks

But yes, go straight to A+E demand to be taken seriously etc etc etc

Pinkjenny · 04/11/2010 11:11

Jaysus, almost 4? It's just a disturbing noise, I think.

hahahaha kreecher that happened to my dh too Grin

Pinkjenny, why are you still here? Why aren't you barging into A&E having refused to sit and wait your turn? Will no one think of the children?
