Lump on top of 3 years olds head

Please can anyone advice me please. I have discovered a lump on the top of my 3 year olds head a couple of days ago. It feels like the bone but lumpy. I mentioned it to my husband and he said that he had noticed it too but thought that it must be where he had bumped it at some point. I am frantic with worry that it is something more sinister. He says that it is painless when i touch it but a few days ago he reached up to turn a light switch on a complained of a sore neck. We thought he had cricked it but could this be connected.

Many thanks

Go to the doctor and let them have a look at it.
I sprinted up the road to the surgery in a froth about exactly the same thing. For us it was a sebaceous cyst and went away over a few weeks but my god, I panicked. Just see the doc and put your mind at rest.

It is right on the top of his head.

Sorry should say it doesn't feel like a cyst. More like the bone dips up and dowm. Not sure if I am explainin this very well. It is right in the centre of his head

He may well just have a funny-shaped head, like my dd2 Smile

Hope you got to see the doc for peace of mind.
