Can I give my 4yr old piriton if he's also had calprofen this morning ?

Hi,
My little one is off school today as he's had a bit of sore throat, croaky voice and more bizarrely lots of a red marks all over his back and side. He's not got a temp but some of the red marks have kind of merged into one big blob and the remaining individual ones have 'lengthened' and now look like raised little scratches ?!?!
I have no idea what this is and he really doesn't seem that 'ill' I was thinking I could try piriton to take the swelling down but can I do that if he's already had calprofen ?
Thanks in advance

calprofen is just ibuprofen isnt it? If so, then I dont see any reason not to give piriton as it is an anti-histamine

I've given DD both when she had a virus. Sounds similar to what she had several times. It started off as a sandy rash under her skin, high temp then the rash merged to make little islands. I am making it sound quite pleasant which is ridiculous.

Ha ha Kreecher - it sounds lovely - you should write holiday brochures !!
I think it definitely is a virus and I'm going to go ahead with the piriton. Hopefully he'll be fine to go back to school tomorrow, if I hear 'I'm bored' one more time I'm going to go insane ! Thanks for replying :)
