AnakisT · 11/10/2010 15:43

I third that...yes

sheeplikessleep · 11/10/2010 15:44

normal temp is between 36 and 37.
any idea what it is? teething? any other symptoms? is she eating ok?

VivaLeBeaver · 11/10/2010 15:45

Are you sure your thermometer is accurate. Why did you take temp if she's well?

sheeplikessleep · 11/10/2010 15:46

i think if her temp goes to 40, worth ringing a doctor.

apologies for multiple posts. hope she feels better soon.

sheeplikessleep · 11/10/2010 15:47

good point viva. unusual for her not to be unwell with temp of 39

pigindisguise · 11/10/2010 15:50

thanks. took her temp bec her face felt hot (and cheeks red). am wondering if she's teething - her bottom gums are quite hard on both sides and thicker than usual i'm sure

no other symptoms and she's eating ok

vivalebeaver it's one of those ear themometers similar to the ones they have at the doctor.

No Calpol if she's fine. Temperatures are the body's way of fighting illness - they are a GOOD thing :) Unless she is uncomfortable there is no need to bring it down with Calpol. If she was miserable she would let you know.

Sheep - a fever is over 38 degrees. Normal temperature can fluctuate during the day - even just running around can put it up to the high 37s.

pigindisguise · 11/10/2010 16:28

I took her top off so she's in a short sleeved vest, and she feels a lot cooler now so just took temp again and it's down to 37.6 (without calpol)
