Tongue Tied in 3.9 yr old

HI my friend's LO is tongue tied, and was advised when he was a baby that the NHS wouldn't do anything about it. Has anyone experiences in this. When he sticks his tongue out, it only comes just out a little beyond his teeth. I think my friend is worried what impact this may have on his life.

it's fairly common. it isn't usually snipped unless there are feeding problems

my eldest is now 5.5 years and his tongue tie hasn't caused him any problems

in some cases it can cause trouble with speech, but if that is the case they will consider snipping it then

other than that there really isn't any issue with it!
oh, i am also tongue tied and have been fine! Grin
