ds (4.5 years) has really dry crocodile skin

my ds has really dry skin which resembles crocodile skin iyswim? any tips?

or epaderm, the ointment not the cream
very effective for eczema/dry skin and can be used as soap.

I would try aveeno first as it is natural and nicer to use. Sadly it irritates my DS's skin.

have been given doublebase but it doesnt seem to be working. its just on his lower legs, bless him,
