Suddenly realised it's all the symptoms of diabetes

DS2 (nearly 4), just asked me for some more water. He has drunk a lot today. And the day before and the day before and the day before if I think about it.

I said "are you thirsty again? And he said "I am always thirsty".

...and then I thought about how sleepy he has been the past week or so, I said to DH I thought he might be coming down with something. Huge long naps yesterday and today, been saying he's tired occasionally (never happens) - much less energetic.

...and then I remembered he has been complaining of a sore tummy off and on the past day or so.

It just now linked up.

Will call for a Drs appointment first thing tomorrow... I am terrified. I dated a guy with type 1 when I was a teenager and he really resented it and sometimes didn't check his blood sugar properly and stuff.

There are blood sugar issues in the family but no diabetes.

Am I being silly? Has anyone here been through the same thing?

Big sigh of relief re diabetes suspicions BeachIy.

Hope the docs get ds sorted out quickly and you can all forget about it all soon!
