I have a 3 yr old who every so often limps but seems to have only slight or no pain, we took him to A & E about a year ago when he first did this, he had stopped putting weight on his leg and when he did he limped. The doctor examined him and saw him limping but did not x-ray him. We were sent home and he stopped limping the following day. He's done this 4 times in the last few months lasting a day to 3 and it seems to be happening more frequently. I took him to the doctor 2 weeks ago after he had been limping for 3 days and refusing to walk. He had stopped limping by the time I had the appointment and went bounding into the doctor no limpin sight making me look like a paranoid mum. The doctor examined him and just said it was probably growing pains. Two weeks on and he is limping again and crawling around rather than walk and wants carrying there is not signs of pain or distress. I am concerned that this isn't quite normal, I have two older children and lots of little nephew and nieces who don't do this. Can anyone offer any advice, I am going to take him back to the doctors if he is limping tomorrow or the next time it happens if he is not.
