cradle cap and hairloss in 2 year old

ds has always had bd cradle cap and its impossible to keep on top of it as it keeps coming back. Ive used detinox and olive olive oil but now his hair is coming out in clumps with the cap will it grow back and how can i stop the cc from returning????

My DD is 2.3 and still has cradle cap across the top of her head. Dentinox, olive oil, Bio oil, vaseline all have not helped. I am now trying Oilatum shampoo (I bought it in Boots). I have only used it twice, but I think it is working .

I do a week of applying vaseline every night before bed, hair wash in the morning with baby shampoo and gently scrub the affected`area with a baby toothbrush, then comb the hair with a fine comb. Recomended by my GP. It always works for my kids, my ds who is 7 still gets it sometimes, it doesn't stop it coming back, but it knocks it on the head (sorry unintentional pun ). The hair will grow back, don't worry.
