breastfed 5 months old throwing up since last night

my little 5 months old is exclusively breastfed and she has coughs with phlegmy chest (nose isn't blocked). And also sneezing.

She threw up massive amount of breastmilk around 8pm last night after dinnerfeed..she went to sleep and she had one feed during the night which she kept down. After morning feed today at 7am, she threw all of that up again...I'm not sure if coughing is causing throwing up or it's something else. She has tiny fever, nothing to be worried about but I'm just so upset she keeps up throwing up breastmilk as her nappy aren't wet as normal and she doesn't really take bottles - I've tried so hard, and actually tomorrow was supposed to be switching to bottle day.. She looks quite happy with empty tummy actually playing with toys and just acting a bit tired, I think I'm more tired than her..

If anyone had some experience and advice I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Sounds like she has a bug. If she has fever you should give her something to keep it down (calpol) and keep offering her milk so she has it little and often to keep her fluids up. Keep an eye on her as little ones can get really ill very quickly.

If she's very phlegmy, then she's probably vomitting from the mucous she's swallowing. Just keep breastfeeding her little and often. Whatever it is, breastmilk will help - she can absorb fluid from it easier than from anything else, and the calories and antibodies she does manage to absorb before she throws it up will do her good.
