penicillin: tricks to give it to 1yo?

my 1yo has an ear infection and needs to take this penicillin (liquid form) 3 times a day.
she refuses the spoon, we've tried giving it to her with the nirofen syringe and it took 2 people and a lot of restraining...
Can I put it in her milk at all?
any other tricks?

I'd use the syringe down the side of the cheek.

OK here is what I did for DS1 (might have been a bit older than 1 though).

He was prescribed that horrible sewage
banana flavoured Amoxycillin and wouldn't take it (tried syringe in the cheek etc) What I did was put his dose in a wine glass with a small amount of milk and banana flavoured milkshake powder. Then I went about my business holding the glass as if it were my drink. Reverse phsychology worked a treat. He practically begged me for it! I even made out to be a little reluctant and when I finally let him have it he gulped it down and asked for more! (obv just gave him the milkshake 2nd time)

..and obviously supervised the wine glass carefully too.

thanks, I tried the serynge on my own this morning and she screamed the house down and spat it all out.
I put it in orange juice, she is drinking it so slowly though
I will try the reverse psychology, sounds really good!

Have you triedc"hiding"it under some chopped grapes or chopped strawberries?
I know it sounds like it couldnt work - but it worked with my daughter when she ws about 18 mths old.

quick update dh has been giving it to her while she sleeps with the serynge and it has worked very well so far...
tried hiding in oj this AM and she took that as well.
