My son (4 in Sept) went to th eoptician today and they think he has this condition, where one eye has not been working. He has to go to hospital to get a proper diagnosis.
Does anyone else have experience of this and advice on what happens next and how far his vision can improve?

My 4 year old DD has worn glasses since she was 2yrs 2mths. After few tests, we were told she had a squint in one eye, astigmatisms in both and was v long sighted (Prescript. + 8.5 & 9.5). The turn is corrected with the glasses but the eye completely turns in without them. We have just been back to the hospital for one of her regular checks and have been told that DD has Bilateral Amblyopia which is basically that both eyes are 'lazy'. They say she has very limited distance vision even with her glasses. She now has to have a Neurological Electrical Diagnostic Test where they will attach electrodes to her head to measure the waves from her brain to her eyes. Does anyone have any experience of this?
