Eczema - we can't go for more than three days without steroids. I am worried about this. Anyone else in the same boat?

The last time we tried a two week break DS ended up with a massive infection that needed antibiotics and a whole tube of eumovate.

We try to limit it as much as possible to hydrocortisone and use the heavy stuff only when we have to.

I am just so worried about what this might be doing to his overall health.

Does anyone have experience with this? DS is three and a half.

another one here with eczema caused by cow milk protein. You must scrutinise everything if you go down this route - so many things have hidden cows milk in them...like some bread and some brands of fish fingers.

If you speak to cust services at your local supermarket, they should be able to send you a list of products that they stock that are dairy free......

We took our son off cows milk after linkng it to persistent glue ear. Eczema cleared as a side effect! within 3 weeks

Hi All

My 11 month old ds suffers from really bad eczema all over with a really bad flair up on his face at the moment. We have several different creams and also antibiotics when required we also give him anti allergy medicine everyday, none of which seem to make much of a difference.

I don't really have anything to add to the thread just wanted to talk to others going through the same thing. Sometimes I feel like crying for him as I don't now how he stands it all over his body.

x

Thanks Kittywise will try it out too. DD going through major flare up all over body and face, seems to be teething related as just cut 4 molars in the last week, so I am hoping this latest break out will reduce soon.
