Hi all, Hoping you can help solve this mystery illness with my almost 3 year old DD.

It all started about 4 weeks ago with a tummy bug and runny tummy. That left and then she developed a strange rash around her anus. A perfect oval shape with a reddish pink colour. Not like a normal nappy type rash though. Took her to the doctor who diagnosed thrush. Used the cream religiously for the past two weeks now and the red oval shape has now disappeared but her anus is still red around and almost seems to be swollen on all the folds of skin around her anus. She has also had a little bled everytime she has a poo. I thought perhaps it could be because she is constipated so have been given her a child laxative/softner prescribed by the doc. Her poos dont seem to be hard or soft just in between. Also thought may be worms as she has been itching her bum alot too so got worming stuff and dosed her with that two weeks ago. Now she screams and holds her bum and you can guarantee she has a poo in her pants and then i put her on the loo and she finishes pooing with much crying. She isnt eating very well at the moment and is constantly whiney and wanting to be carried. Now I am googling and thinking piles?? I just dont know anymore!! The doctor just seems to be guessing all the time too and I am at my wits end seeming her in this discomfort. Does anyone have any thoughts please please??

it could be piles, my ds has had them for years, the doctor wouldnt do anything coz they had disappeared everytime i'd taken him the doctors, He is in alot of pain when going to the toilet and sometimes will hold it in or will do it in his underpants :-(
He gets blood aswell, we have to take him in a couple of weeks for an operation.
