DS has yet again barged into bathroom during TOTM. So another conversation about monthly cycles ensued!

It all led to the baby making stuff today. I can't get away with the mummy daddy special cuddle stuff anymore, he is very scientific and precise (knows in detail how steam engines work, and what a pantograph does on an electric train for example). I don't want to namby pamby him or make him feel foolish.

I tried using some you tube vids today didn't want to confuse him as some were dodgy.

Any suggestions for good books or websites?

The only book I know is 'Mummy laid an egg' by Babbette Cole. It's pretty funny - but not sure if it will be sceintific enough. Good luck - I'm not looking forward to all of that!

Try this one:

Let's Talk: About Girls, Boys, Babies, Bodies, Families & Friends (Lets Talk) (Paperback)
by Robie H. Harris (Author), Michael Emberley (Illustrator)

ISBN 978-1406306064

Will tell him what he needs to know at 5 and will probably last him until he's about 10.

thanks for both suggestions, i have found the latter on Amazon and ordered it along with a book called "How Did I get here..."

If he want's anything more scientific he can call Dr Robert Winston lol

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/0746023006/ref=sib_dp_pt#reader-page

I can remember my mother buying me this book age 6 or 7, after some nagging from me. On figuring out the "facts of life", I informed my parents that I knew how babies were made, and that they had done it twice!
