Can anyone suggest a book to help me talk to my 9 year old about sex? Thanks

A lot of people recommend the Babette Cole book 'Mummy Laid an Egg'.

Not about sex, but also, a very good book on puberty is Hair in Funny Places.

They both might seem basic (childish) to us adults, but DS-9yo must have reread Hair-in-Funny-Places about 30-times the day I bought it. Absorbing every fact, I think! They really do introduce the topics very well for primary school age and under.

My dd has the girl version of this and it covers all sorts in a v good way. Nothing too ott or scary. I can only assume the boys version is similarly done.

It's been a great conversation strater for us. She dips in and out of it and comes and has a chat.

I get asked for What's happening to me a lot: a few of the schools in this area recommend it to parents when they do sex ed.

it covers puberty without going into detail about sex.

the boy's version is ISBN: 9780746076637

here if the link works
