Atlas of the World recommendations for first book for pre-schooler

Can anyone recommend an atlas for an enquiring pre-schooler? We've been talking about the earthquake in Haiti and I was explaining how they happen in simple terms, I reached for our atlas to show him plates of the earth's crust etc, only to find it doesn't have them. So I want to buy him something that's good on physical geography, perhaps more so than social geography.
Thoughts gratefully received.
Thanks
