Can anyone recommend a good book for an almost 2yr old about Christmas?

Apologies if this has been done before but the search function isn't playing the game for me! DD is 2 soon and starting to enjoy seeing all the Christmas lights etc - i know she won't really "get" Christmas this year but I'd like to start talking to her about it - any suggestions for a good book we could read together? Thanks!

This is a brilliant Pop Up Book of 'The Night Before Christmas' poem - a nice one to buy and keep for future christmases

The bit in the bible books called Matthew and Luke are pretty simple explanations of how it all came to be. Good bible version to buy is called TNIV, search for it on amazon.co.uk.

If you want a specifically children's version of the bible stories, I would get The big picture story bible here

Which is a lovely story bible for little children with big pictures and not many words.

Or maybe this one here

They are both lovely, I have them both and planning to read themboth to my little one when it's born!

Hope that's the kind of thing you're looking for.

Both I think morningpaper - I'm still not 100% sure where I stand on religious issues but don't want to rule it out just yet

At the same time I'd just like a schmaltzy one about Rudolph and Santa!

Will go and look at your links, thanks all

the owl one is good - not really religious, just a lovely story about an owl who is waiting for something - then all the characters of the nativity come into the story and the final page the owl sees Jesus in teh manger and strokes his cheek with his wing - it's really SWEET and lovely illustrations.

Mine love that first link - lift the flap Farmyard Tales, it's got all the nice rituals of Christmas in, getting a tree, decorations etc.
