Any suggestions on this? My partner and I have a baby on the way but haven't yet told my 8 year old. He's quite precocious, likes to ask lots of questions and is a good reader, so I would rather tell him about the facts of how babies are made before he starts creating his own story from bits and bobs he might pick up at school, and before we tell him we are going to have another.
I've had a look at 'Let's talk about sex' but it is very busy on the page and I think that might put him off bothering. I found a lovely simpler book but there is a lot of emphasis on 'what your mummy and daddy did together' which is very personalised and, since I am long divorced from his father, would bring up lots of questions I might have to try very hard not to grimace at! The Babette Cole is far too simplistic and babyish in its form I think. Would be great to hear any suggestions.
