Love the suggestions for a girl. Going to a friends DS's Christening and would like to get him a classic hardback illustrated book too.

Thanks for all your replies, there are some fab suggestions.

ROFL @ Millennium Falcon! It is a top thing to have/keep. Very good.

I like the Peter Pan, WiTW and CS Lewis book ideas too - they are all great classics, funny how your mind goes blank when you try to think of these things for yourself!

The Hutchinson CToL looks great, I have never heard of these before.

A Bible is a classic for a Christening too of course.
