Best nursery rhymes/Mother Goose books

I am looking for a nursery rhymes or Mother Goose book. We have several already:

  • the Opie/Wells ones
  • the Debi Gliori one
  • the Axel Scheffler one
  • Lavender Blue
  • the Macmillan treasury of Nursery Rhymes and Stories.

This is for a present to a French-speaking family. The language is not an issue but I want something that looks like a gift book as I want it as a nice representation of classic literature (ie not like the Rosen/Sharratt Mother Goose which is great but not suitable in this instance), but I still want it to be fairly child-friendly.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

It is not 'gift book' style but This Little Puffin, is a classic nursery rhyme book and had been reprinted over several decades, perhaps they do a special anniversary edition.
It is a fantastic nursery rhyme book and has every nursery rhyme you can think of.

I got this one - Ragged Bear book of nursery rhymes as a Christening present for my nephew. It's quite gifty and had nice drawings.

I've always loved this one by Michael Foreman and it's the one I'd have bought if the shop I was in had it that day.

The Orchard book of nursey rhymes is also a nice gift book.

Shonaspurtle, thank you for this link, I was looking for the Foreman one (it is recommended by Wendy Cooling, my "guru" ) but I thought it had gone out of print.
MIAonline, I had forgotten about this one, which I remember looking at while I was at uni. Might have to get it for myself actually!

Thanks for your help!
