BIL and his fiance got this book for DD1-9 and she spends sooo much time with it. It covers all periods of history and presents it in a modern hip way like websites, newspapers and video games. I really highly recommend this -- It is a big, great quality book but would make a terrific gift for any one in this age range too. I say 9+ because but it might be better for even older children.
