We've really enjoyed listening to The Borrowers and Just William together in the car, and Ive just ordered King Arthur and his Knights..... any other suggestions for things Id really enjoy, as well as my lively imaginative 6.5 year old daughter?
What are your all time favourites?

For really good recordings we all enjoy Paddington read by Stephen Fry, and the version of Winnie the Pooh with lots of voices. I also really lke the Just So Stories read by Geoffrey Palmer. For interesting stories we like the Naxis Junior Classics series. We recently listened to some quite bloodthirty Irish Myths. I have a 8 and a 9 year old (and 37 yr old dh)

the cherry jones reading of the little house on the prairie books are fabulous, and they have a wonderful wonderful fiddler on them too (so wonderful that ds has demanded-and after about a year gotten-violin lessons).

we also like the wind in the willows, can't remember which recodring we have but its someone appropriately creaky and ancient.
