My 5 yr old dd has written her Christmas list.
Amongst the requests for pens, pencils, a baby (think that's meant to be a doll - at least hope so!) is one for a book of poems. I guess they must be doing poetry at school (Yr 1).
Can anyone recommend a nice anthology of poems suitable for her age?
Although she enjoys having books read to her, she is a good reader and enjoys picking up books and reading them to herself as well.
