I like to buy my god daughter a stack of books for christmas...does anyone have any recommendations?

Bit late but perhaps if there are any other horror/fanstasy fans out there - I LOVED The Last Unicorn as a child, having seen the somewhat wimpy cartoon, then bought the book when I cam across it at uni, never having realised it was originally a book and found it really lyrical. Besides The Last Unicorn though the author also wrote Tamsin, which I think your goddaugher might really like - ghost story set in Devon.
