Short bedtime books for 8 year old girls

Hey, im just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for short bedtime books with pictures? I am struggling to find these!
Examples of things we have enjoyed include - the Lighthouse Keepers Cat series

• the cafe at the edge of the woods

Chapter books we enjoy - isadora moon, horrid henry
Chapter books just dont work at bedtime, no pictures, often slow to get into and im looking for a story all wrapped up before bed that arent babyish/all rhyming!
I feel that maybe this age is too old for it but ive tried to get back into this at bedtime and its great - but we have no new books!
Any ideas?! Thanks :)

We liked My Naughty Little Sister, Milly Molly Mandy, Teddy Robinson and Frog and Toad they are stand alone stories. Oh and Winnie The Pooh too.

Old bear stories are longer than most picture books so may work. Holly Webb has some short books like The Beach Puppy. No pictures but My Naughty Little Sister is short stories rather than chapters. Rainbow fairies can be read in about half an hour I think.
