I recently won a copy of a storybook called "Bubble Boy and the Garden Adventure" (checked Amazon and it's on there): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bubble-Garden-Adventure-Mike-Follows/dp/1036970760/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1W2CK0J2AA8QP&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bMBYcorh1JhJE64E3pp9CZwSXR4Dp_PwvddsIJ2TV9jORTvTCtJduSnGFU3IhsDDqaRUIjOYNd-hOs_-F90CifVd-kbUD5GQULstjG-0mpTFQ8U_ahLp3DKDpeg33XFix0fJfkz7seeYOSlsgBjRYgyJeui7GMnjYuHu9BO2VcArj4S5nd8tYaZ3fNGxQp5CPcImvPNY4FIimcjoODvCnxbfq4KodzoTooeYGQtkQxY.829br0zXk8_CdPlBQvOQsfCjFhSMi0Gjw75vORNKeiU&dib_tag=se&keywords=bubble+boy&qid=1778493215&sprefix=bubble+boy%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-1-spons&aref=dSo6jEV1DN&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1

which my 3 and 5 year olds loved. It's got a nice little moral lesson in there and they keep saying the don't want to burst their bubbles.

Anyone got any recommendations for other modern stories with life lessons/morals please?

Hmmm, are you really asking for recommendations or are you trying to plug your own book, which I note was published very recently...?

If this is genuine then take a look at the Anna Hibiscus books by Atinuke.

I won a copy at a Doncaster Rovers match (That's the DR in my username) where they were doing a giveaway thing. :)

I'll have a look at Anna Hibiscus, thanks.

You can't get less modern than Aesop's Fables! What Katy Did is (a) not modern and (b) not really right for such young children.

What about My Body is Me, by Rachel Rooney, illustrated by Jessica Ahlberg? Designed to help children feel positive about their bodies, no matter what sort of body that may be. Available from Amazon.

I just saw modern in the title and I didn’t read that!

Do the Dr Seuss books count? There was one about Sneetches and stars, eg wanting what someone else had.
