Mine is currently loving me reading The Wolves of Willoughby Chase to her, and she's read Woof! and a few of the Dick King-Smith books by herself.
She really liked the Faraway Tree books too.

My dd loved reading Amelia fang at that age, witch wars, rainbow grey.

Reading to her, we read ickabog, Christmas pig is good this time of year, Narnia.

At her age I read Alice in Wonderland and it was the book that opened my eyes to reading for pleasure and not just because I was being made to. I remember having a torch under the bed to keep reading it as I couldn’t put it down.

Dd loves the Enid Blyton books, especially The Famous Five and The Five Find Outers (Mystery series).
She has started to enjoy some of the younger Jaqueline Wilson ones like Tracy Beaker.
The other Roald Dahl ones like Matilda, The Witches and Esio Trot.
Animal Ark series- Kitten in the Kitchen etc.
Rainbow Fairy and Magic Unicorn series (not sure who writes these, but she likes them)
Horrible Histories

If she starts the rainbow magic ones just let her read those on her own. They are so tedious. Every single story is the same. Jack frost steals something, they get it back, the end.

These are all awesome too! Please keep them coming!
ive also been recommended Wolf Girl.
anyone’s DD read those?

My dd's 8, recently read the BFG (Roald dahl books are great), loves the dogman books, and is currently reading a horrible history book gifted by her teacher. All great books for this age group.
