Horror books for tween/young teen

DS13 quite likes horror - loves Stranger Things and constantly asks to watch films like Final Destination, The Quiet Place etc.

Are there any horror books/authors you could recommend for him?

He's not a brilliant reader, so we'd probably need stuff aimed at 10+ so he isn't put off by length etc.

Ideally something like the Point Horror books I loved at his age, but more contemporary. And importantly- not cringe 🤣 whatever that means!

Thank you!

Lockwood and Co series by Jonathon Stroud.. and read them yourself because they are brilliant.

Yes to Lockwood and Co.
I know the author is troublesome, but The Graveyard Book?

Thank you - I'll get the first one on order from the library 😊

The various Avaline Jones books might be a bit young, but short and ghosty.

Skullduggery Pleasant series perhaps? Anthony Horowitz has done some children’s horror books.

These books are brilliant. I think there are three of them
