Does anyone have the plush toy that came with a gift set that they don't want? DD ADORES Blue Kangaroo and Tesco took my order but tell me that they don't know when or if they'll ever have it in. DD's birthday is less than 2 weeks away now..........

Our Mothercare World has loads!!!!!! Mothercare will order stuff and deliver for free if they normally stock the item. Is it worth ringing your nearest MW and seeing if they'll deliver it if out of stock? Waterstones is good too, order in store they'll ring you when it arrives, they were good when I wanted Sam's Sandwich-they imported it from the US for me for free!!!!!!

MilaMae · 20/05/2008 20:27

Just looked-Waterstones online has it but I'd ring to check how long it would take to arrive.

Klaw · 20/05/2008 20:49

Thanks for that MNetters, I am trying the online sites now....

But if Tesco and Amazon have no idea if they'll ever get them in again I am worried that they'll never be produced again... am praying that perhaps Waterstones or Mothercare still have existing stock....

Can't stop thinking about your little girl(she is rather gorgeous). My dd adores her blue kangaroo so anxious that your dd gets hers.

I'm going into town Sat will look in our Waterstones do you want me to get it if it's there and we could sort out me getting it to you? Don't say I'll CAT you as have no idea what that means.

If they haven't got it in Waterstones I could be going to Mothercare World next week(it's a bit further away so could get them to save one for when I get there). When you ring MW they definately had loads in the Torquay branch at The Willows.

You'll need to keep checking this thread so we don't end up with loads

Klaw · 22/05/2008 19:14

Oh MilaMae, that's so kind of you!!!

I tried Mothercare Customer Support who said nothing available.

I tried Waterstones who said the same but gave me a number to try (readers finder or somehting...) which was engaged at the time and said to try later.

Are you sure Mothercare World still has them? Apparently gift box thingies are only available at Christmas and the manufucturer recalls stock when they take it out of print... Arrgggh, are kids not supposed to want them other times of year, like at birthdays?

They had about 4 or 5 a couple of weeks ago I know as I toyed with getting one for my friends little girl. They're quite helpful in the Torquay branch so try giving them a ring.

Do you want me to look in town on Sat I'll be doing the bookshop thing as the kids want a jokebooknot sure I do!!!!!!!

Mothercare World is further away but I'm trying to get hold of some shoes for ds and if they get them I may be be popping over next week.

MilaMae · 22/05/2008 19:41

Right just rang Mothercare World they have got them I've reserved one, they're holding it for me until Monday if you want me to pick it up.

Oh heck thought we were going swimming Monday we're not as bank holiday but as half term could be going to the zoo that week so will try and get them to hold onto it a bit longer.

Will look in town anyway if you want me to.

just tried my local (over hour's drive) MW but they don't have it....

sooooooo

if you could get one and post it to me, that would be fab! I don't even need the book, you can keep that or give it as a present to someone you know. I JUST need the Blue Kangaroo toy!

Would you like to email me on klaw at macmail dot com so we can arrange payment and address details?

You will be sainted for this!

OP posts:
MilaMae · 22/05/2008 19:59

Ok will try and get 2.

Only fly in the ointment re MW is if I can't get there for Mon just realised it's bank holiday they may not hold them. Will try ringing them to get another one and beg for Wed as more likely.

Don't get too excited I kind of got the impression she thought I was pushing my luck with holding until Mon.

These girls have to have their blue kangaroos

MilaMae · 22/05/2008 20:02

Ok just rang she's holding another and will hold them both until Wed, we'll do the zoo Wed(it's got a new croc swamp and we go past MW)-

Klaw · 22/05/2008 20:08

Oh MilaMae, you're a complete and utter star!

Email me with bank account details so I can transfer money including P&P direct to your acount.

Tell your MW they've got fabulous customer service and MN will be sending shoppers in their droves to give them custom at this rate!

IF you can get posted ASAP after you get them I might just have it in time for the 2nd June, dd's birthday!! but anytime is better than none

MilaMae · 22/05/2008 20:33

A check will be fine,dp might strangle me if I e-mail our bank account details (he doesn't get Mumsnet)

I'll send it 1st class as soon as I can, so all being well. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.

Klaw · 22/05/2008 21:03

oh dear, I don't have a cheque book.... It's simple to put money into someone's account, you need sort code and account number to put money in but I can't get any money out. I do it every now and again....

what about paypal, do you have a paypal account I could put it in?

OP posts:
Klaw · 22/05/2008 21:04

or can i send money via the post office? money order or somehting?

OP posts:
MilaMae · 22/05/2008 21:33

Yep we've got paypal

Klaw · 22/05/2008 23:25

OK, then you'll need to email me your Paypal account details and how much I owe you including P&P, not forgetting that Paypal take their chunk.... (which is why I've paid direct into accounts) I don't know how much they take will need to look into that. I'm getting so excited at the thought of seeing DD's face when she sees her very own Blue Kangaroo!

Obviously I will provide Postal address on email, rather than here.

Hi Ruby no problems a cheque would actually be better if that's ok.

Klaw dp was fine re the bank details so I'll e-mail them to you, I'd forgotten paypal fees. Can you put your e-mail up ASAP then if I get it before Wed I can post it sooner.

Did you both know there is a new Happy Birthday Blue Kangaroo book. DD got it out from the library this week and adores it!!!!!!!!! Very pink

Klaw · 24/05/2008 12:18

thanks MilaMae, i've still been looking in case I get lucky and can save you the hassle but still no joy...

But, you're our saviour so there you go!

klaw at macmail dot com

I know about the birthday book too, will probably get it for dd, have been hogging the various titles the library has and getting them again and again. Dd can even 'read' the books to me as she knows them so well now!
