Chose Your Own Adventure

DD11 has just got a Beano book from the library similar to Choose Your own Adventure books I remember from when I was around that age (maybe slightly younger) and really likes it. CYOA might be a bit outdated now but are there any similar more recent series she might enjoy where she gets to control the story? She reads a range of books so the 'subject' of the story could be pretty much anything...

Any recommendations appreciated 😁

I've still got my CYOA books and I don't think they've aged badly. Fighting Fantasy was a similar format, although you were supposed to mess around with dice rolling (I never bothered!).

Usborne books do some which are probably a bit more up to date.

Thanks - I've bought some CYOA books second hand so hopefully they will go down well.

The 'Spin to Survive' books are awesome and beautifully produced.
