Any recommendations for personalised books for a 5 year old boy? Preferably with a super hero or dinosaur content! I don't particularly want to add a photo of the child, but would like to have their name included.

You can also try out StoryGenius. They also allow you to bring your own story idea and customize character's looks using your child's pic.

Wonderbly is great! We have a bunch of those. Print quality is excellent.

We also has been ordering a bunch of custom children books from Leo Books recently now that the kid is older. They make completely custom ones for different themes, occasions, events -- we made ones for his sports competitions and few about dinosaurs and trucks he loves. Was really impressed by quality and ones of a kind.

Wonderbly is probably still the safest bet for name-only books. Their dinosaur one sounds like a good fit for the original question.

Full disclosure, my husband is building Tippytale, so I might be biased, but I liked it. We made books for passing little family stories and values to our kids, and it is different from the usual name-personalised ones. It uses a photo to make the child the illustrated hero, and you can control the story and add other characters like siblings, parents, grandparents or pets.

So I’d say Wonderbly for a classic name-personalised book, Tippytale if you want the child to actually be the main character.
