Hoping someone can help me track down this book from my childhood (1990s but could have been written earlier)…
It was a collection of short fairy stories.
Some were darkish, not necessarily creepy but not all clouds and rainbows.
Lots of talk of fairy circles, children out adventuring and getting kidnapped by goblins etc and transported to a fairy world. One child may have had baby sibling kidnapped? Distant memory I can’t quite catch…
One story was about a little girl and a magician of sorts… she had to try to find a challenge he couldn’t complete. She defeated him as he couldn’t straighten one of her curls.
Thats all I’ve got. Think it was standard paperback sized, but could well have been hard back.
