Books or book series for 8 year old

Hello,

My 8 year old has always loved reading, with the Harry Potter series being a particular favourite. He’s read all the books a few times and has also read most of the books we have at home. He’s read and liked:
-The Kid Normal series
-Diary of a Wimpy Kid series
-How to Train Your Dragon books
-Anything Minecraft or Starwars themed.

I’m planning a library trip, so if anyone has suggestions of books he may like, they’d be gratefully received. TIA!

Excellent @blondie87 I don't massively enjoy reading them to my youngest, but I can't deny the series gets them reading independently

Indian in the cupboard? Lynne Reid banks there are about 5 of them.

A hit this summer was a box set of ‘Land of Stories’ by Chris Colfer; he was engrossed and read all six in 5 days!

It gives the age guide as +9 just as a reference.
