Time travelling with a hamster was loved by my daughter who read it at 12. The donut diaries is funny as well but that might be for younger children, not too sure.

Catherine called Birdy

Macey78 · 08/03/2023 17:24

Thank you - she's read both of those! This is also a thing she reads everything she gets her hands on then I run out of books to get her!!

Macey78 · 08/03/2023 17:26

I capture the castle is a great classic for this age

I used to love the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison when I was around the same age as your DD.

Macey78 · 08/03/2023 17:30

@ourflagmeansdeath I've just bought a few of those. Thank you for suggesting feel reassured heading the right direction.

The Land Of Green Ginger is old but hilarious

Also anything by Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett.

Macey78 · 08/03/2023 17:30

@Arcadia have added to my list. Thank you.

With Terry Pratchett “Small Gods” is a good one to start with.
