Does anyone have any recommendations for fiction books about football for a 9 year old boy?
I thought there would be loads but all I can find on Amazon are football facts and similar.

Things he has enjoyed in the past are Dinoball and Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend.

Thanks

Football Academy series or Foul Play series by Tom Palmer.
The Football Boy Wonder Chronicles by Martin Smith
Jamie Johnson series by Dan Freedman
Kick by Mitch Johnson

Mine enjoyed the Frank Lampard, Frankie books. I am not sure if they would be too young for a 9 year old.

Easy reading style www.amazon.co.uk/Marcus-Rashford-Football-Rising-Stars/dp/1782268979
Marcus himself has written the Breakfast Club Adventures series

DC used to love the Ultimate Football Hero series by Tom Oldfield.

Bali Rai has written a couple, but I can't remember their names!

My son recently read this and loved it

Maybe suitable for younger age than 9 years, but THE STARS ARE PLAYING FOOTBALL. Illustrated for early readers / bedtime story.

Just in case you read Spanish, there are two different series writen by Roberto Santiago, that my kid absolutely loves (the best one is Los Once)

This might be out of print so you would have to get it secondhand but this is a brilliant book. Semi autobiographical about a local children's football tournament in the 1950s.
I loved it (I am am totally "meh" about football).
