"You are history" - horrible histories

I heard the author of this book on Radio 2 this morning talking about it. I wondered if anyone who knows Horrible Histories and / or knows more about 6-year olds than I do (!) might be able to guide me as to whether it'd be appropriate as a pressie for my nephew (in year 2, and apparently a very confident reader for his age)?

horrible histories was very popular with my DC when they were younger but not as young as Y2, more like Y6

Yes, dd read lots of the books in y2, was at the hugger end of reading ability sounds great for your nephew
