Looking for books for my toddler DS. Just turned two. Adores Maisy Mouse, listens intently and understands very simple storyline. Not yet ready for much more text than that. Have some Spot ones too which he likes. Any suggestions?

Mine likes the Not my books eg not my penguin and then rapidly moved to Mr me.

Miffy books by Dick Bruna

Pip and Posy! Also the Hairy Mclairy/Slinky Malinki Lynley Dodd series. Mine adored Maisy Mouse and Spot so I'll tell you some stand alone favourites of theirs at that age too. Peck Peck Peck and Hooray for Fish by the Maisy Mouse author/illustrator, Everywhere Babies, Mopoke, Eric Carle (Hungry Caterpillar probably my least favourite, not sure why it's his iconic. The very youngest toddlers love Brown Bear and all the sequels, and 10 Little Rubber Ducks is brilliant) Mummy and Me and Zoom Zoom Zoom by Katherina Manolessou, the Block books, Countablok, Cityblok, Alphablok, very clever. The Ahlberg Toddler books, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

My youngest loved the Campbell Busy Books for a long time, between age 1-3. They are really short but there are so many of them, some Children just love stories with every day scenarios in they can recognise, his favourite was Busy Cafe, which I must have read hundreds of times.
