Pamela Cox sequels to Enid Blyton?

Are the 'authorised' sequels and in-between books by Pamela Cox for the Malory Towers and St Clares series any good (i.e. faithful to Blyton's style and could pass for Blyton's own work)?

Seems like Malory Towers collections are available containing only the Blyton original books, but St Clares collections all include the Pamela Cox books.

My DDs have found them as enjoyable as the originals.

I read one out of interest and it wasn't as good, but they aren't exactly literary fiction anyway, just light children's school stories. No worse than other books for that age group. Overall I think the PC books adds to the St Clara's series as its so patchy. With it being new characters in Malory Towers, not as necessary.

My dc read them. I flicked through them:

Generally unimpressed. Not really EB style at all. A lot of rehashing old people/plot lines (like Gwendoline coming back as a teacher) which felt really forced.

My dc read a couple and didn't really want to bother with the others, which was disappointing as they were really thrilled to get more stories in the series.
They've read other series which have been extended by others and enjoyed them, so it wasn't just about them being different.

There were two St Clare's ones written years ago which are written in a way that's kind of not modern but not old fashioned...if that makes sense. As in saying "Mum" instead of"Mummy", "radio" rather than "wireless" type thing.
The more recent St Clare's and the Mallory Towers ones are written more in the style of the originals.
They're ok. Not masterpieces - but let's face it. It's Enid. She was the Queen of books but not exactly great literature 😂
