Any recommendations of books with animals in for DS aged 6.5? He's read and enjoyed all of Zoe's rescue zoo series, the Jill Tomlinson owl who's afraid of the dark etc series, Michael Bond's Olga da Polga series, and absolutely loved the King of the Copper Mountain. He has a low fear threshold, so I don't think he's ready for Animals of the Farthing wood yet, and he doesn't like books that are too silly. He's a fast reader, and even with the library I'm struggling to keep him supplied with books he likes so any further ideas of things to try would be welcome!
