Could anyone recommend a fiction book on the environment, green issues? I can find lots of non fiction but little fiction. For key stage two.

The Fantastic Flying Journey by Gerald Durrell is excellent:

When I was young, I gained immense appreciation for saving animals and preserving their habitats from this book! I would also recommend Durrell's novels for older readers -- the perfect mix of humour and nature/animals appreciation and conservation.

Alba the 100 year old fish. It is a picture book but works well. Especially for LKS2.

'The Tree Lady: The True Story of How One Tree-Loving Woman Changed a City Forever', by H. Joseph Hopkins.

'The Boy Who Grew a Forest: The True Story of Jadav Payeng', by Sophia Gholz

"We Are Water Protectors', by Carole Lindstrom

Maybe suitable for younger readers though?
