Ah well, if they said 'snot' then that explains why dd1 liked it. Surely it's aimed at kids of an age where 'snot' is funny? Possibly my dd is easily amused .

Don't knock it - it taught ds to read! Someone read him a chapter and he was determined to read the rest. Ploughed through it howling with laughter and emerged at the other end a fluent reader. Maybe you have to be 6! And a boy.
