Are there any suitable books for a 6 year old to deal with friendship issues and resulting feelings? He has been having a tricky time settling back in school, any recommendations to help him please?

I recently went wild on amazon with books, there are loads to choose from! A really good one on emotions was the usborne book on feelings, but friends one we bought loads, eg 'How to be a good friend' but there is lots so check them out and see what works best?

Hi @Doubleistrouble

I run a website called Tangle Tales (www.tangle-tales.com).

It's a website to promote childrens books to help them understand feelings and experiences they may struggle with and themes such as confidence, anxiety and family dynamics.

I have a few suggestions around friendships and a lot more around understanding feelings, they're also grouped into themes. I hope this is helpful :)

Tom Percival’s big bright feelings series of picture books are great.

tangletales. I’ve just looked at your blog. What a good idea. It is really helpful to know which books have written age appropriate books about difficult to pin down emotions.
