Hi all - I'd love to get everyone's thoughts on choosing books to read with young kids (aged 3, 5). How do you choose which books to read/buy? There are so many books to choose from that it's a bit overwhelming. And I don't want to end up reading only books that are based on cartoon characters like peppa pig and paw patrol. With libraries now closed, how are you choosing books? welcome any thoughts. thanks !

Hi, @skaur9 - we've moved this over to Children's Books now. Hope you get some useful tips from other MN bookworms.

My own DC love anything by Julia Donaldson and they're a definite winner for 3 and 5 year olds, esp if you read them in comedy voices. ; )

The Baby Who Wouldn't go to Bed
Bunny and Bee books (Noisy Night was the favourite here)
Elephants don't do ballet
Shark in the Park
The Kiss that Missed
I love you Blue Kangaroo
