If my 10 year loved these, what else might he like?

My DS 10 is an avid reader and is looking for something along the lines of the Dark Wild and House of Secrets trilogies.
He loves mystery/adventure. Any suggestions?

Enid Blyton's "Barney" and "The XXX of Adventure" series' maybe.
They are a bit dated as there is no use of technology, no mobile phones or computers etc, but my littlest one loves them - we've been reading them aloud for a while, he is 11 now, we've still got about 4 to go before we finish both series, and he still enjoys them.
Skullduggery Pleasant maybe good too, or Percy Jackson.
